Cheryl Burns
Cheryl Burns recently joined Shepherd Elder Law Group as a Paralegal, bringing with her eighteen years of experience in the legal field. Prior to this role, she served as a Probate & Litigation Paralegal at The Bailey Law Firm in Memphis, TN, where she handled court filings, trial preparation, client communication, and estate planning document execution. Cheryl also held a long-term role at Wolff Ardis, P.C., where she balanced legal secretary duties with personal assistant responsibilities, including managing family affairs and financial operations.
With a strong foundation in both legal and administrative work, Cheryl is committed to providing compassionate, detail-oriented support in elder law, estate, and special needs planning. She holds an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Hospitality Management from the State Technical Institute at Memphis.
Cheryl is originally from Memphis, Tennessee, and has lived most of her life in Southaven, Mississippi, where she raised her two daughters who are now both in college. Outside of work, Cheryl loves spending time with her loved ones, LSU sports (GEAUX TIGERS), hiking, kayaking, reading, crafting, going to museums, zoos, and watching movies.
