Stephanie Waxman, J.D.

Law Clerk

Stephanie Waxman is a Law Clerk at Shepherd Elder Law Group, where she is dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate important life decisions with clarity, compassion, and attention to detail.

Stephanie earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law. During law school, she was a member of the UMKC Law Review, served as a Law Student Emissary, and was active in the Estates and Trusts Society and the Association of Women Law Students. She received the Harry L. Browne Endowed Scholarship and was consistently recognized on the Dean’s List.

Her legal experience includes working as a Law Clerk with WM Law, where she drafted estate planning documents and helped protect clients’ assets in probate and bankruptcy matters, and as a Legal Intern with the Cass County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, where she contributed to charging decisions and case evaluations. She also worked as a Research Assistant at UMKC Law, where she reviewed state statutes and Missouri Supreme Court cases on property law issues.

Stephanie is a devoted animal lover whose world revolves around her two beloved companions — Gretchen, a calico Persian cat with a gentle soul, and Finn, a loyal and endlessly affectionate Great Pyrenees. More than pets, they are her heart and home. Stephanie finds joy in the little moments and believes that life is infinitely better with paws by your side.

Stephanie is someone who lives life in motion — both on the field and off. A passionate soccer player, avid cyclist, and dedicated yoga enthusiast, she finds balance between strength, speed, and serenity. Whether she’s scoring goals, chasing the horizon on two wheels, or flowing through a vinyasa session, Stephanie embraces every moment with energy and intention.
